Monday, Feb. 20, 5pm: Let the Council know you support Pre-K for all of Santa Fe’s children
Here’s what Mayor Gonzales said Wednesday night at State of the City Address
“If the ideas we are proposing seem big, it is only because they must match the scale of the challenges we are facing.” — Mayor Javier Gonzales
We agree - 1,000 children unable to access pre-K is a big problem. The good news is that we have the opportunity to fix this and ensure that ALL three- and four-year-olds have access to high quality pre-kindergarten so they can begin kindergarten better prepared to learn.
Right now, it’s in the City Council’s hands. If they vote YES on March 8th, then the people of Santa Fe will get to vote on this important initiative as soon as this Spring.
This coming Monday, Feb. 20 is the first Public Hearing: the City Council’s Public Works Committee at 5pm at City Hall, 200 Lincoln Ave.
The Council wants to hear from you.
Monday, Feb. 20, 5pm. Come let the Council know you support Pre-K for all of Santa Fe’s children.
Hope to see you there!
